Andalusia, 1840. After three years of wandering, 13-year-old Salva, the devoted assistant to a blind knife grinder, returns to Seville and meets Carmen, a 20-year-old gypsy woman with a mesmerizing voice. When a prophecy warns him that death is looming over her, he turns to his friend Belén, 15, and their small gang of street kids to try to save her.
From Lillas Pastia’s tavern to winding alleyways, from the sunlit terracotta rooftops to the pigments of the grand dye works, from the labyrinth of an old mine to the misty gypsy camp, from the Plaza de Toros to the tall galleons moored in Seville’s port, will they succeed in preventing Carmen’s tragic fate from coming true?
